New Zealand Trip Tips

  • The currency is made up of New Zealand dollars and cents, although the smallest coin is 10 cents so don’t think you’ll get change on anything that 95 cents from a dollar. There are roughly $1.50NZD to 1 Euro
  • The emergency telephone number is 111 and the international dialling code is +64
  • New Zealand consists of 2 mains islands, imaginatively named North Island and South Island, and dozens of smaller islands. You are never more than 79 miles from the sea.
  • New Zealand is an adrenaline junkie’s paradise with Queenstown the maniac mecca. Bungee jumping, canyon swings, white water rafting, diving, spearfishing, skydiving, luging, glacier walks, you can surf in the morning and ski in the afternoon. This little island has everything.
  • As an outdoorsy country camping is very popular and the facilities are great. Campervanning is a brilliant to see the country at low cost, food is cheap too.
